Nat King Cole - Re: Generations

You may or may not have heard about Nat King Cole's upcoming album, Re: Generations (check the video above if you're unfamiliar). This project puts some of the world's most pioneering musicians, producers, and DJ's, and their distinct styles, on 13 of Nat King Cole's most known records. The album was executive produced by Carole Cole (Nat's daughter) and features Cee-Lo, The Roots, will.i.am, Cut Chemist, Just Blaze (song is hilarious), Nas, Izza Kizza, Stephen and Damian Marley, TV On The Radio, and more.

BBC | Ice Cream 2009 Spring/Summer Collection February Releases

New drops seen here from BBC | Ice Cream will hit stores this weekend. A nice mixture of casual pieces such as graphic tees and windbreaker hoodies are seen alongside some more mature styles such as blazers and ties. A lone accessory release includes a pair of sunglasses which among the other releases will be unveiled on February 28th at BBC | Ice Cream Hong Kong.

Lily Allen answers the door of her West London flat this chilly November afternoon, quelling a halfhearted attack from her new dog Mabel, who greets me with a succession of snarls, barks, and exploratory lunges. Upon entering, I quickly realize that Allen's home is not so much a three-bedroom apartment as a living autobiographical art installation. On the wall near the front door hangs a two-by-three-foot print of her police citation for a March 2007 assault on a paparazzo. In the open-plan kitchen/living-room area, there are portraits of her baby half sister, Teddie Rose, and of her godfather, Joe Strummer of the Clash.

Brainstorming

• I decided that I'm gonna make sure I shoot and write EVERYDAY, even when I really don't feel like it...
• Aaaand I'm gonna be starting a "Weekly Mosaic" that represents the past seven days.

Air Jordan I - DTRT Metallics

I usually don't post low quality pics, but I'm really feeling these.

"The Air Jordan 1 DTRT Metallics are a slight variation of the OG metallic colorways. The DTRT versions that are said to drop later this summer feature inner liners that have DTRT inspiration.
Two colorways will release, white and metallic red, along with a white and metallic green."

NVDRS Tape - The only thing nearly as cool as an iPod...

No matter how much we progress as far as technology is concerned, we always look back towards retro stalwarts for inspiration in the designing field. NVDRS Tape foxes around in the Cassette Tape construction but is actually a digital player. Deceptive looks aside, the player continues to follow the 45/60/90 minutes norm, holding 10/15/20 select songs in digital format; uploaded via USB.

New Banksy Art To Help Da Kids

Banksy is a well known, pseudo anonymous, British graffiti artist.

His new piece titled “Go Flock Yourself“, which shows a boy spray painting a flock pattern onto wallpaper, will raise funds for The Prince’s Trust, which provides training for unemployed teens. Great to see street artists not only contribute to society via thought provoking imagery, but also financially as seen here especially in times of economic turmoil.
